About Our Practitioner

Xiapin Song M.S., LAc, EAMP, M.D. (China)

When I was ten years old, I contracted a life threatening disease. It was when white uniformed angels saved my life that I knew I wanted to be a doctor. I was born in Shanghai, China, and graduated from Shanghai Second Medical University with a doctorate degree in medicine in 1984. During my six years of study in medical school, I received concurrent and thorough training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. I have been practicing integrated medicine ever since then. In 1997, I obtained a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle.

Currently, I am a Licensed Acupuncturist and Eastern Asian Medical Practitioner by the State of Washington and board certified as a Diplomat of Acupuncture by the NCCAOM.  I have been practicing acupuncture and Chinese medicine in the Greater Seattle Area since 1998.  Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history. Western science has recently begun to explain how Chinese medicine works. The  mysteries of Chinese medicine continue to be revealed in these most exciting times. I strongly believe that my combined knowledge of Eastern and Western medicine will provide a unique acupuncture practice, dedicated to helping people stay healthy and live a quality life.

I am very proud to be the founder and practitioner in Qualicare Natural Health Clinic. I have been carrying out our clinics'  mission by caring for our patients. I am a very good listener. I always
assess needs, use holistic approaches and treat patients as a whole person. While treating patients, I also educate them as to what can do to comply with the treatment regimen and avoid further problems. I believe that preventative care is as important and even more important than treating the diseases. Thus, our patients usually experience very good outcomes after treatments with acupuncture and/or herbal remedies. I am very compassionate and proud about my profession.
